Market Events:


Bike Clinic:  Their volunteer bike technicians will be there to tweak your wheels, and show how to do it.


Music:    Enjoy the music!  9-11a – James Ploeser, Acoustic folk and pop covers in English and Spanish.;  11-1p – Trifilio Tango – if you missed their dance concert Friday evening on the Plaza, they are back for an encore, virtuosic performances of original tango music.


Adopt Force One:  10:30-1p – Your new roommate awaits your scratches….woof/meow


What’s Coming to Market:


Earth Spring Farm:  We have herbs this week!  Apple mint, spearmint, basil, calendula flowers, red clover, wildflowers, and bunches of things we find in the fields, ….to be determined  =)  Eggs, greens, squash, garlic bulbs and scapes as well.  Come see us early.  earthspringcsa.com


Truck Patch Farm:  Welcome fall!  Truck Patch will have broccoli and winter squash, but our summer produce harvest is shrinking, so get there early for the best tomato selection!  We’ll have pork chops, sausage, and chicken, or try kebabs of zucchini and summer squash.  Don’t forget the chili peppers!  As always, we’ll have arugula, mesclun salad mix, spinach, chard & kale.  Free Range eggs.  www.truckpatchfarms.com

Quaker Valley Orchards:  This week: Last of the peaches, lots of apples and Asian pears. Potatoes, onions, tomatoes and popcorn. Honey, jam, apple butter and sauce and tomato sauce. Cider.  www.quakervalleyorchards.com


Reid’s Orchard:  Going to market this week: Yellow peaches, white peaches, donut peaches, nectarines, Pristine, Earligold, Paula Red, Ginger Gold, Premier Honeycrisp (and more!) apples.  The Premier Honeycrisp are new this year, they are an early season honeycrisp apple.    www.reidsorchardwinery.com


Groff’s Content Farm:  We will have fresh duck at Market!  We also have some new grassfed beef bologna and snack sticks made without preservatives or added nitrates.  As one customer said, they are weirdly good; I personally can’t stop eating them.  Kind of summer sausage-like would be great on crackers if you can get them that far.  We have lots of ground beef and bacon for the perfect grassfed bacon cheese burger paired with cheese from Spring Gap Mountain of course.  Also Bratwurst and keilbasa which are outstanding grilled on a bun topped with Number 1 Sons sauerkraut.   www.groffscontentfarm.com


Spring Gap Mountain:  This is the last week to get fresh mozzarella.  In addition, our delightful cheese monger will be bringing Shenandoah Sunrise Tomme, Jersey Gold Gouda, Farmhouse Feta, Sophie’s Select Cheddar, Bloomery camembert and lightly salted butter.   www.springgapmtn.com

Saturday Morning Yoga – Start your Saturdays with Carol, Marjorie and some relaxing, stress-free yoga.  Everyone is welcome, beginners especially!  Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water.  Bring your own yoga mat or use one of theirs.  10am, MtP Library


Saturday Book Sale  –  Come by the library every Saturday, from 11-2p, for weekly Friends of the Mt. Pleasant Library book sales. The Friends room is up on the 2nd floor across from the entrance to the Children’s Room.
